Hi! My name is Nicki. I am an artist and motion designer.
I love and feel immense joy creating art.

My journey to art started back in 2010 doing a handful of paintings and then graphite pencils portraits. I wasn’t very confident because I believed since I didn’t grow up doing art that in some way I lacked. I was very drawn to creative pursuits, taking up crocheting and then moving on to hand embroidery. However, I still had some limiting beliefs and other factors which I allowed to hold me back.
I bought an ipad in 2016 and used it sparingly.
In 2021, I felt called to get back to drawing portraits but this time in color. My first color pencil portrait was of my spiritual teacher Liana Shanti. Liana’s teachings, love and guidance over the 12 years she has been in my life have been instrumental in me healing my mind, body and spirit. Through them I was able to work through my limiting beliefs around creating art too. Drawing her portrait was a beautiful heart opening and expansive experience. I could feel unconditional love wash over me. I am forever grateful to her for all that she has shared with me and continues to share.
The next portrait that expanded my creative world and brought more unconditional love in to my life and the creative experience was creating a pan pastel and pastel pencil painting of Precious Lester, my friend Ailana’s dog.
I am so grateful for the opportunities and experiences.

In 2021 I moved on to creating digital art which is bringing so much joy in so many new ways. I started with doing a couple YouTube tutorials on how to use Procreate and that helped me immensely. I felt more confident to explore creating art in Procreate. I began to create art which is now on home decor, apparel, stationary, and lots more.

A year later I tried Procreate’s animation feature (this was before Procreate Dreams was released) and I loved it. I began to create GIFs which was so much fun and uploaded them to GIPHY. They accepted my creator application and verified me within a few hours.

From there, I dropped more limiting beliefs, and felt called to learn After Effects. I did some tutorials by amazing and inspiring motion designers Jake Bartlett, Manon Louart and Ben Marriott on Skillshare and YouTube and was hooked.
I began to explore creating in Photoshop and Illustrator too.
From there I have continued to create many of my offerings by drawing in Procreate or Adobe Illustrator and animating in Adobe After Effects.

I am honored to be here to share my gifts with you all.

Thank you for being here.

Aloha, Nicki.
